Daily Itinerary

Tuesday, March 18th

  • Depart the US

Wednesday, March 19th

  • Arrival into Athens, Greece, where you will be met by our CCT Team and transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight

Thursday, March 20th

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • In the morning, start your trip to Ancient Corinth. This is the once glorious city near the Isthmus, where Paul met Aquilla and Priscilla and spent a year and a half working and preaching the Gospel.
  • You will visit the Forum, the Temples and the famous Bema, where Paul stood before Gallio accused by the Jews of Corinth.
  • Travel back to Athens.
  • Admire the architectural miracles of ancient Athens, as you follow your guide to the world renown Acropolis, to see the Propylea, the Erectheum and the Parthenon.
  • Visit Mars Hill, where Paul delivered his ingenious speech on the “Unknown God.” View the Agora, the ancient center of the economic and public life of the city, where Paul preached to the skeptical Athenians. During the bus tour, you see Constitution Square with the House of Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Temple of Zeus, the Old Olympic Stadium and the Neoclassical Buildings of Athens.
  • Dinner and overnight at hotel in Athens.

Friday, March 21st

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • This morning, transfer to the pier in Piraeus (Athens, Greece) to board ship departure.
  • Cruise to Mykonos (Greece) and enjoy an evening on the island.

Saturday, March 22nd

  • Enjoy breakfast on board and the morning at leisure in Kusadasi (Ephesus, Turkey).
  • Renowned for its beaches and attractive view of the Aegean, Kusadasi is near to several historical sites including Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis, and the House of the Virgin Mary.
  • Evening at leisure in Patmos (Greece).
  • Sail to Heraklion this evening.

Sunday, March 23rd

  • Arrive this morning in Heraklion (Crete, Greece), one of the four prefectures that constitute the island of Crete. Enjoy a half day at leisure to explore the island on your own.
  • Cruise to Santorini and enjoy an evening on Santorini Island. Known for its breathtaking caldera, Santorini is also famous for its sandy beaches, colorful sunsets, and whitewashed buildings along the sea-cliffs.

Monday, March 24th

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • Your journey in the mainland of Greece begins with the drive from Athens to Kalambaka, where you visit one of the amazing Byzantine monasteries of Meteora, perched on top of gigantic rock pinnacles.
  • Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka

Tuesday, March 25th

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • Travel to Veria, where you visit the Bema of the apostle Paul.
  • We also visit King Phillip’s (Alexander’s father) tomb in Vergina, one of the most outstanding finds in all of Greece.
  • Continue to Thessaloniki.
  • Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki

Wednesday, March 26th

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • Follow the route of the Via Egnatia and visit, like Paul and his companion, the area of Amphipolis, to see the famous funerary Lion of Amphipolis, and the site of Philippi.
  • Visit the Baptistery of Lydia near the river, where Paul baptized Lydia. She was the first convert of Paul on European soil and the jailer followed.
  • Visit the ruins of the Forum of Philippi, the Christian Basilicas, “Prison of Paul” and the Theater.
  • Drive to Kavala (Neapolis), a picturesque port and see the Byzantine Castle and the Roman Aqueduct.
  • Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.

Thursday, March 27th

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel
  • In the morning, drive in Thessaloniki to see the landmark of the city, the White Tower, the Walls of the Byzantine Acropolis, the Roman Arch of Galerius and the Rotonda.
  • Visit two of the city’s oldest and most admired Christian churches, the Basilicas of St. Demetrius and St. Sophia (Divine Wisdom).
  • Continue to Athens.
  • Dinner and overnight in Athens.

Friday, March 28th

  • Depart for the airport for flights back to USA
  • Fly back home with a new insight into Paul’s life and teachings
